Summer has arrived in full force, and we are busy — in the best possible way. Between farmers markets, weekly store restocks, and a garden that just keeps giving, there is never a dull moment around here. We wanted to take a moment to share what's been happening on the farm and in the kitchen.
From the Garden
This season has been incredibly generous. We've harvested loads of strawberries, wild blackberries, and blueberries, and we're already dreaming up all the jams we want to make with them. Our cucumbers have started to slow down, but not before we successfully canned over 35 pints of our spicy garlic pickles — and we only have about 10 jars left from this year's harvest. If you've been wanting some, now is the time to reach out!
We've also put away over 10 gallons of jalapeños, and we're hoping to have enough to carry us all the way through winter until next year's harvest comes in. If you're a fan of our Jalapeño Cheddar Loaf, you already know — those are our very own homegrown jalapeños in every loaf. The green beans are still coming in strong; we've canned about 20 quarts so far with more on the way.
A Note on Eggs
To our loyal egg customers — we see you, and we appreciate you! With the summer heat in full swing, the girls are slowing down a bit on production. If you're counting on eggs, please reach out to reserve yours. We will always hold them for you. Your loyalty means the world to us and we never want you to go without.
Fresh From the Bakery
All those beautiful berries aren't just going into jars — they're going into your bread too! Right now we're baking with fresh blueberries in our Blueberry Lemon Loaf and Blueberry Bagels. Keep an eye on our market tables and retail locations for these seasonal favorites while they last.
Introducing Our Insulated Bag Loyalty Program
We're so grateful for your continued support, and we wanted to give something back. We're excited to introduce our new insulated bag loyalty program! Purchase one of our insulated bags for $25, and every time you bring it to the market and spend $15 or more, you'll get $2 off your order. It's our way of saying thank you for showing up week after week.
Want to Learn to Can?
Canning season is in full swing and we are always looking for an extra set of hands! If you've ever wanted to learn, we'd love to teach you — and we'll send you home with a jar for your trouble. Reach out if this sounds like something you'd enjoy. The more the merrier around here.
Thank you for being part of our community. We'll see you at the market!
