We have been sitting with this news for a while now, and we are so excited to finally share it with all of you — Serenity Now Homestead is becoming Appalachian Sourdough Co.
This wasn't a decision we made lightly. Over time, it became clear that continuing to operate under the Serenity Now Homestead name no longer made sense for the direction our bakery was growing. We had goals, a vision, and a brand identity that needed room to breathe — and a new name felt like the right way to honor that.
But let us be clear: the homestead is still very much alive and thriving. We will continue providing fresh eggs, vegetables, pork, chicken, and canned goods — all raised and grown right here on our land. That part of who we are isn't going anywhere.
And when it comes to the bread? Same recipes. Same baker. New name. The sourdough you've come to love hasn't changed one bit. The long fermentation, the minimal ingredients, the care that goes into every loaf — all of it remains exactly as it was.

We couldn't think of a better way to kick off the Appalachian Sourdough Co. era than at the opening week of farmers market season. We would absolutely love to see your faces!

We are also rolling out to our retail store partners starting next Tuesday, so keep an eye out at your favorite local shops!
One small heads up — we have a brand new POS system this season. We appreciate your patience as we get our footing over these first few markets. We promise the bread will be worth the wait. 😄
